The Realtor® in me was born before I ever considered the profession. I’ve long been fascinated with the idea of ‘home,’ with architecture, with design, and with the built environment in general. I’m the person who gets excited about new plants in the center divide and who’s in awe of art installations and of murals in commercial centers. I notice when businesses upgrade their building’s exteriors and when new lines are painted on the street. Isn’t infrastructure interesting?!
Around 2008 in the New Foothill Farms neighborhood of Sacramento, the nearest gas station to my house was torn out and the newly empty lot was fenced around, adding an empty corner to an already vast shopping mall parking lot. This was the first moment I recognized how vital the form and function of our built environment are, to both community health and economic growth, as the lot quickly became a blight. It stayed vacant and overgrown for several years before becoming a Starbucks, which now provides a vital gathering space for the community.
In 2009, my senior year at FHS, like millions of others across the United States, my parents who carried an adjustable rate mortgage, were left only with the option to sell their home in a short sale. With the help of my aunt, my first mentor in real estate, a complete foreclosure was avoided, though the loss of our long-time home was life changing for our family. I threw myself into the hunt for a rental home to fit our family and our budget. We got one, in a nice Citrus Heights neighborhood, which allowed my brothers to graduate high school within the San Juan School District.
In July of 2014, I obtained my real estate license, having apprenticed for my aunt’s real estate team during a time prior. Ever since, I’ve been focusing on helping others to love where they live by providing tailored service to home buyers and sellers across California. With dozens of happy clients who are investing in their futures through real estate, I’m fulfilled knowing I’m making a positive difference in my community. In addition, I’m extremely proud to have helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local needs by volunteering on different committees within the Sacramento, Placer County, and California Associations of Realtors®.
As of 2022 I’m filled with gratitude for all the amazing people I’ve worked with so far: the clients who trust my guidance and refer me to their friends and family, the Realtors® on our team and on the other side of the transaction who uphold a gold standard of professionalism, the myriad other professionals who make the transactions possible: including title and escrow officers, assistants, mortgage lenders, appraisers, home inspectors, contractors, photographers, and notaries, etc... And for each person on the planet who is helping to make the world a better place by planning, maintaining, and improving our infrastructure, who encourage greatness in others, and who are doing their best to be their best. Thank you!
